That actually makes sense sounds like they're like the orcs from the Lord of the Rings who emerge from mud and rocks.
Actually those Orcs used to be Dark Elves war and prejudice plus their defeat saw them imprisoned under the Ivory tower and Sauron their keeper.

they most likly come from lava which makes them lava monsters
