I believe that Sony gives the publishing right to Atlus for strategic reason.  Atlus USA doesn't have anything for PS3, why not let Atlus make some money over this game.  Also, Sony is too busy to campaign for Demon's Souls at this point, they want to focus on marketing PS3 and Uncharted 2.

SCEI Japan studio was involved in developing this game, it's not like Sony has to try really hard to fight for the NA publishing right.

I was just checking out some the characters in the guide and one that just caught my attention was Ostrava. I don't remember saving this guy at all in 1-1.

I am guessing he probably died and if so, did I just lose out on the Mausoleum key?

I saved him and didn't get a key. There was a thief ring near his body though. I'm going to run back through and see if I missed anything. he is in the Nexus now though

Has anyone managed to get this game in Canada today? I want to go get it after class today, but it's out of my way on the way home and I don't feel like canvasing another 7 stores only to be turned down by all of them...

if you go through the first warp wall in 1-1 he is right at the bottom you can jump over the ledge. you don't have to restart though because he is in a safe place until you jump down. I ran right past him the first time then came back and he jumped down and helped me fight.

the first fog door I think they are called run down the stairs and you will see some enemies at the bottom. If you jump down all the way to the bottom he will jump down and fight with you. If you jump down next to him first there is a thief ring. there is also some stones down there also

I don't ever remember hoping down to a ledge that had him on it, so even though I finished 1-1, if I go back to 1-1 he will still be there?
