i think SCEA might have regretted for not publishing this game... they must have expected this game will get shit reviews and sales in the US! in fact its doing really good... if theres Demons Souls 2, i think SCEA will publish it |
I believe that Sony gives the publishing right to Atlus for strategic reason. Atlus USA doesn't have anything for PS3, why not let Atlus make some money over this game. Also, Sony is too busy to campaign for Demon's Souls at this point, they want to focus on marketing PS3 and Uncharted 2.
SCEI Japan studio was involved in developing this game, it's not like Sony has to try really hard to fight for the NA publishing right.
