yes, but online co-op truly make this game shine

I wouldn't want people coming into my game killing me.

I would probably PK people after playing long enough though.

I don't think it works like that.

btw, how does the coop work? Do you split the loot or whoever makes the last hit gets the booty?

I haven't really paid attention to the distribution of loot for common enemies in co-op. The summoned player doesn't get any items when he's in another world, though, only souls. For boss fights, the amount of souls given to the supporting player(s) is based on the ranking given by the player who summoned in the help.
