Forums - Gaming - Music and games have the same problem.

Many people complain that almost all games have a terrible plot or no plot at all and a lot of violence while in music nearly every song is about love and they usually have a terrible "plot".  +They also have a piracy problem.

LoL, and this is why i don't play games for the plot or listen to music for "the message".

The best thing I can say about this thread is: 'That certainly is an opinion and it certainly is your own personal opinion"
Writing what I'm thinking would surely get me banned :)

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

This. Games didn't need plots in the early eighties and they don't need them now.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

The best video game story is one that gets out of my way when I want to play it. The only company doing that right now is Nintendo.

Really, I think a story can be great in a video game ... But not a cinematic one. Like this, not MGS4, but rather Shadow of the Colossus.

Stories are all fine and good, but they shouldn't be the main focus of the game. A well-told generic story is way better than a complex story that gets shoved down the player's throat.

And if the story is the main focus of a game, it can be alright if it's really well-told (MGS3 plx).

You are right.

But people whine and complain about everything.
