Forums - PC - Fallout Trilogy

The Best Buy near my place just got a big PC shipment in, including the Fallout Trilogy. I picked it up for 20 bucks.

The old Fallout games are still selling everywhere. In the game stores near my home everyone of them also have had recent shipments of the Fallout Trilogy. Those games are simply masterpieces.

Fallout 2 is my own personal fave although I haven't tried tactics yet.

I never ever see Fallout 1 or 2 in the UK.

It hurts my feelings.

yeah Interplay managed to get some funding and are seriously pushing old software. They are need a substantial amount of currency to get their Fallout MMO out their. Though they seem to be on the right track.

Tactics ain't great in my opinion.

Every try the Fallout 2 expansion Mod?  It's pretty neat.

Some fans added in all the stuff the developers wanted in but didn't have time for.

Oh man, I genuinely tried playing these games recently and I could not get into them. It's really for a niche audience. Although I did see a lot potential and really look forward to playing Fallout 3 one day.

I really enjoyed the engine and I believe a modifed version would have been epic for a Interplay FO3. I think the big problem with FFT wasn't the game play, but the levels. The game was really lethal and even the early levels were overly long, it was only moderatly balanced with lots of stimpacks. But when your first real mission is to rescue a tribe and that takes 40m that's a little long. I made it too mission 3 before it was getting ridicoulous. It felt like a very linear adventure tactical battle. In many regards the game failed by being to up stream for this type tactical game play.

No I haven't tried the FO2 expansion mod, but I have heard of it. I'll have to try it out. There is also a Fallout Online(unofficial) mod too. That apparently is very upstream PvP orientated.

Bought Fallout2 and Half Life on the same day. Best pick up ever.

Repent or be destroyed

Right on! I remember about two years ago the old games were getting hard to come by. Copies were selling on Ebay for up to fifty bucks.

Anyhow, Fallout 1,2 are way better than 3 , imo.

Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?
