C-> most of us yes (not me) .

Who's us? If by us you mean Nintendo fans, then yes, most Nintendo fans around here anyway seem to think the SNES games were better. Does it have something to do with the system they were on?  Nostalgia? Many factors could go into that.

Fact is, FF VII and FF X are the two best selling FF followed by the other versions that came out on PS and PS2. The only PS or PS2 FF game that didn't outsell every single FF game on the SNES was the FF Tactics game which is understandable but still sold very well.

So if you go by sales which are a pretty good indication of how many people were into the games than the PS and PS2 FF games are more popular than the old SNES games.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I don't think anyone is trying to argue which game is the most popular ckmlb.  We are simply talking about our personal preferences.

As far as nostalgia being a factor: Yes that has something to do with FFIV being one of my favorites to be sure.  However, I can still go back and play FFVI, Chrono Trigger, and FFIX and enjoy them more than most RPGs. The sign of a truly great game is that it's fun even when it's 15 years out of date.  In fact, I am playing FFIX again right now.  I'm about 15 hours in, and I'm loving every minute of it.

I meant most of us in this thread. And nostalgia is certainly a very important factor.

Nazatips: Yes, clearly he was influenced by her. And I’m not saying the intended story makes much sense. No, the plot holes are pretty huge in that game. Let’s just leave it at that.

Ckmlb: More popular, yes. But better? That’s another (subjective) matter.

Sephiroths mother was killed by cloud and vice versa?

Also remember nostalgia is a very important factor for people who consider FFVII their favorite as well. In fact, it's actually somewhat rare to find someone who calls FFVII their favorite when it wasn't their first RPG. Similarly, many even younger gamers consider FFX their favorite beacause it was their first RPG. I know at least on gamefaqs if you poll the amount of FFVII fans you'll find it was the first RPG 90% of them ever played. Nostalgia is always a factor.

Still wonder what IGN was smoking when they gave Kingdom hearts 2 a 7.6.

What's all this Final Fantasy talk?

Anyway, there is another rumor, from 1up I believe, that there will be a Kingdom Hearts Zero on the PSP.

IGN is biased in my opinion, I mean they have an american 12 year old on the ps3 rating's wth is that B$? Im not going to trust them for anything, not only that but they gave heavenly sword the lowest score, and they gave KH2 a 7.6.

KH2 stands at top as one of the best rpg's ever, the story blew away KH1.
KH1 starts off with disney, and then jumps to KH(the real story with ansem) with only an hour left of gameplay.

All your Kingdom Hearts 2 talk made me want to finish the game.
