even if the ps3 does beat the wii this year in japan, is that much to even brag about.

i mean the wii is doomed isn't it?

Well the Wii did outsell the PS3 by almost 3:1 for 2007 and 2008 in Japan

So even IF the PS3 get's outsold 2:1 this year in Japan by the Wii it's still a huge improvement, so if the PS3 goes ahead and just beats the Wii in Japan then that'd be insane.

Of course not. Did you look at those Wii titles we listed on the first page? Those should ensure Wii has the bag in 2009. But Nintendo will announce new things at E3, absolutely no reason they won't.


Also, the latest JP preview says Wii > PS3 in JP.

PS3 will outsell Wii in Japan for 2009. PS3 is on the rise. Wii is declining in Japan.

Wii will outsell PS3.

Wii with 0 games released Vs. PS3 with loads of games released and Ps3 is still behind.

Nintendo just needs to reinvigorate the Japanese market by ending this game drought.

Depends, its not looking good for FF13 to ship this holiday season, but if it does, it can be the deciding factor.

Wii needs new games in Japan or its position will fall away. PS3 on the other hand has plenty of games being released in Japan and FFXIII will seal the PS3 win over Wii in Japan for 2009.

I'd put Tales of Graces as well but that looks like a Jan/Feb 2010 release =/

The only thing left for the PS3 to outsel the wii is FFXIII ( if it comes in 2009) and that rise could be over in a month. With motion plus + resort, monsterhunter, dragon quest 9 ( if 2009?) and other games the wii wil win. Even with zero games it's still selling. It's pretty insane.
