DQIX 4 million
FFXIII 2.5 million
in Japan, probably DQ10
WorldWide, FF13 for sure
DQ is bigger in Japan, and the most recent DQ games sold more than most recent FF games
also, Ps3 userbase in Japan is 3 million, so there's a limit, where 8m Wii userbase is the reason DQX is coming to Wii
DQ has also been tested before with the spin-off title, which sold half a million in Japan, imagine what the real thing can do
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Because it´s not true, in Japan is Pokemon>Mario 2D>Dragon Quest>Final Fantasy=Monster Hunter
DQIX is on DS...'nuff said
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

This depends. If you go by sales in the last 2 gens (which is what matters now).
Here's the list.
1. Pokemon D/P - 5.86M
2. NSMB - 5.62M
3. Pokemon Ruby - 5.4M
4. Brain Training 2 - 5.16M
5. Animal Crossing - 5.14M
6. Braing Training - 4M
7. DQ8 - 3.6M
8. MKDS - 3.55M (will catch DQ8)
9. Wii Sports - 3.53M (Will pass DQ8, and possibly the original BT)
10. Wii Fit - 3.34M (Will pass several titles)
11. Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green - 3.15M
12. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G - 3.1M
13. Wii Play - 2.71M
14. Pokemon Platinum - 2.42M
15. FF12 - 2.39M
16. English Training - 2.36M (Will pass FF12)
17. Mario Kart Wii - 2.22M
18. FFX-2 - 2.1M
19. Brawl - 1.93M
20. MPDS - 1.89M
21. Nintendogs - 1.83M
22. Monster Hunter 2nd - 1.75M
So for Franchises, I'd say
1. Pokemon (Best selling, 3rd best selling, 11th best selling and 14th best selling)
2. 2D Mario (2nd best selling)
3. Brain Training (4th and 6th best selling). Could be argued to > 2D Mario)
4. Animal Crossing (5th best selling)
5. Mario Kart - 8th and 17th best selling
6. Wii series - 9th, 10th and 13th best selling
7. Monster Hunter - 12th and 22nd
8. Dragon Quest - 7th best selling
9. English Training - 15th best selling
10. Final Fantasy - 16th and 18th best selling
And the following ones are:
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Party
Nintendogs
So essentially, my list is a lot different than yours. I would expect the list to stay roughly the same through the gen.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

FFXIII will sell 1 million first week at worst in Japan. Fact. NA and EU will not come close to FFXIII and DQ IX numbers. Fact. :P |
Not that I don't agree with you, but last I checked, anything that hasn't happened yet is "theory" and not "fact."
Seriously it is DQ, its japan and it is the ds enough said.
well well worldwide FFX111 will sell more
