I reckon after seeing the graphics and word of mouth, kz2 may have decent sales in japan. Unlike halo or r2, kz2 is more tactical. This may appeal more to the Japanese gamers.

The sales of this have convinced me that monster hunter tri will do extremely well on the wii considering G has already been released on multiple platforms.

BUT atleast 2nd new game on Wii, that will pass 100k in Japan this year.

KZ2 will do around 35-40k, that`s a little better than Ressistance 2, but after all it`s a FPS. =)

first monster hunter on psp sold 123k first week - so 92k first day for rehased game that was already on ps2 and psp and without free online on a console is really great.

Na its not that its that the experiance that sells the Monster Hunter games is impossible to replicate on the Wii. If you have ever been to Japan and witnessed it yourself then you would know why. Its kindalike saying how come Wii spoerts isnt selling on the 360? Because it doesnt give the experiance that sells the Wii sports and Wii play games

@waron, THAT was BEFORE Monster Hunter became such popular franchise on PSP. =)

Anyway, it`s pretty much safe to say, that MH3 will make atleast 300-400k on Wii.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

my prediction was 135 k first week... seems it might even exceed that. Btw it will surpass the PS2 version most probably which is impressive considering its only a port. Good sales for once from a Wii game :D

Nest week jikyou baseball game for Wii, we'll see whether it will perform

Ok. These are pretty big MHG numbers. Impressive that so many of them are the bundle too as that means more revenue for Capcom. It also means a lot of demos for Tri (which I'm pretty sure will have free online vs. MHG's pay to play) and a nice hardware boost.

What will be interesting to see is if there's any slight bumps for other Japanese traditional gamer centric titles. The Wii probably has the least of those games than the other two systems right now, so as it slowly amasses it's army of big titles, it will be really neat to watch the demographic shift. I'm especially interested in Muramassa's numbers. This should give it a decent boost over what it would have sold if there weren't extra Wii's being purchased by "HARDCORE" gamers.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
