They've already announced it for FY09. You think it'll launch in March 2011?
It's not as far to go as you think. There is already an early build of at least the early levels. Kratos' model is finished. Riding on the Cyclops is already implemented, for the levels they've done.
They have a good 11 months, until March 2010. They will have been working on the game for over three years. That's enough.

I could see that December 2009 is possible, considering how much more pressure Sony and this game has for them compared to the PS2 era.
I just hope that they don't release an incomplete game >.< Edit: Isn't GT5 2010? We have gotten absolutely no information on the final game at all...

Heavy Rain - lacks mass appeal. I'll be surprised if it even sells 1 million
Ratchet and Clank - The 3rd RC being released on Ps3 already. Not exactly a system seller.
A big gun like GoW or GT is needed to drive holiday sales and ensure victory.

I think it will, in November. Either that or GT5, I think Sony want one of them out this year to spread out their biggest titles. Having both of those games release in early 2010 makes less sense to me.
