Japan, maybe for a while longer. All Nintendo has to do is cut the price and release a few more blockbusters, though.

Worldwide, it will never beat the Wii.

Some of the sales may be because FF13 coming down the pipeline.

There is a lot that could be said on Japan; this is not a simple situation.

So lets see, the only time it has ever beat the Wii in worldwide before was with MGS4 release.  So I guess perhaps it will beat the Wii for another week worldwide with the release of FFXIII and maybe GT5.  But I didn't really mean weekly.  Just in general it will never beat the Wii.  Winning a few weeks will never allow them to catch up.

GT5 is very big in Japan, but not as big as Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. And Wii Sports, for that matter.

I think by years end, Wii and PS3 will be just about even in Japan. I don't think a Wii price cut will have a major effect - it'll help sales, but the Wii is already a great deal at the price it is, obviously, since they haven't had to lower the price since it came out. I just don't think there are a ton of people waiting for a Wii price cut to buy it...but I could be wrong.

PlayStation 3 price slash at E3 and Final Fantasy XIII exclusive in Japan so f**k yeah it will last.

Microsoft will announce it's next console before Sony does and what does that tell you?

The Xbox 360 is finished, the RROD problem is sure to bring it down if the above isn't.
