Other than that, Soriku - get FE7 first. It's the best introduction to the series. Period.

Definitely.  The first ten chapters/battles are basically one giant tutorial.  Each teaches one or two things and slowly gets you up to par without throwing a lot of challenging stuff at you right away.

Truthfully, I'd go for Path of Radiance first. It's a pretty easy game and it's one of the best. 7 is OK, but not amazing.

Could the Nintendo Dream announcement be New Play Control! Fire Emblem Path of Radiance?

Nope. Why would they add motion controls to a Fire Emblem game? There's no reason to.

And FE7 is definitely as good as FE9. I'd say better, but even if they are to be considered equal - FE7 has a far, far better intro to the series.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

To further clarify, Soriku, this is the game that wa just called "Fire Emblem" in English. On the GBA. It may have been the one you played, but maybe not.

Actually I think I played FE: Sacred Stones. I looked up pics on GameFAQs, there was a girl with blue hair and you get a girl riding a pegasus early on. The blue hair gets some powerful sword in the beginning as well. And before you play the game you have to put in your birthday.

Are you sure it was blue hair

Are you sure it wasn't green?

And the girl's name was Lyndis, and your character was a tactician, and the sword was the Mani Katti?

I started with the Gamecube Fire Emblem, and I've been doing just fine. :P

It's still my favorite game! Maybe it has something to do with being my first...

It could still be Sacred Stones, assuming the girl is Eirika, the sword is the Rapier (a true butt-kicker against armored foes), and the pegasus girl is Tana. But I don't remember entering my birthday, and Tana doesn't join you until a few missions in.

This is a lot funnier than I had originally surmised, then.

Did you have your own character? Were you a character in the story?
