Although i agree on the X-edge comment, the devs for Disgaea 3 already said the ps2 couldn't handle the scale of D3.

Despite your pathetic attempt at sarcasm, this is a correct statement for Disgaea 3.
If you look back at Disgaea 2, the levels and the scope of the battles were much much smaller. NIS had an interview a while back stating that the biggest advantage of moving up from the PS2 was the ability to expand the amount of content in the game.
