Oh well, Konami lose I guess.. Not the case with EA though, Wii is the lead platform for Tiger Woods with more modes than the HD versions and Grand Slam Tennis is debuting on Wii months before HD versions with all the features plus fully supporting MotionPlus.

Some devs know what they're doing and others.. Not so much..

Which explains why Konami is routinely making profits, while EA is routinely losing money...EA makes some really good games, and some crap. It all sells the same.

EA only just started with the whole Wii being their priority kick that they're on so we don't know how they'll go financially yet.

If Konami will put the least effort of all 3 consoles with Wii version of a casual family friendly party game, there is really no hope of them ever making a good game for the system. Especially when the Wii is the best selling platform of the last 3 versions of the game.

The Wii versions of DDR are dumbed down beyond belief as well. And those versions sell the best of the current DDR games as well.

BAM! There it is!

I have been disapointed with Konami's support for the wii all gen... besides castelvania I can't think of a single game they put out... (well I guess the game of this thread.... which I didn't know existed...)

EA has done as much (potentially more) to limit success on the Wii as they have done to make themself successful ...

Consider how releasing Medal of Honor: Vanguard impacted their potential sales for Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 (which was just a PSP port anyways) ... How about releasing a port of an inferior version of Rock Band over 6 months after its HD release and then releasing Rock Band 2 months after its debut on the XBox 360, being that (most) other music games sell the best on the Wii do you think that their mishandling of this series may have cost EA millions of dollars? ... How about EA's handling of Sports games on the Wii, 3 game-years into the generation we have yet to see a single NHL game, there has been no Fight-Night game, there has been no good NBA game don't you think EA should be doing better with its bread and butter genre? ... How about racing games, EA has yet to produce a decent need-for-speed or burnout game for the Wii ...

EA's entire business model is based on building the dominant brand in an area, and releasing a yearly update on it (because it is less-expensive than building a game from the ground up, and making massive profits off of the second/third/fourth game released in a generation ... On the Wii EA has done a lot to ensure that they will not own the dominant brand in several genres and when they should be releasing the third or fourth installment of many of their games they still haven't released their first ...

You're correct, how EA has handled the Wii demonstrates why they are not making a profit

The Wii.... always getting played.

wow that pun is great

Check out my game about moles ^

One thing: Sure, making an inferior Wii version (for anything other than technology limits) is bad. Making a superior Wii version is also bad. The game should be the same on all consoles, as much as possible. If Microsoft cared enough, they could pay to have exclusive content on 360 for all of these games. They don't.
