is disc golf the same as Frisbee golf?

while it is essentially the same thing, real disc golf uses special discs, not just off the shelf frisbies that most people use.

if wii motion + is really accurate like shown in the video then HOLY COW, i've virtually not touched my way for the last 6 months and grew very disappointed with nintendo ( i swore to myself that i'll never buy ANY console which isn't at least 2 years into its life circle and to be very careful with further nintendo systems ), but that's just awesome. i mean u can do anything with it.
This is what everybody was imagining when the Wii was announced, this is why i bought it and not the shitty tacked on waggle stuff in most of the games right now.

Yes, EA has been showing this and Grand Slam Tennis off with WM+ controls to various gaming sites and everyone has been very impressed.   For TW the biggest difference is you can actually putt like you're suppose to (and push/pull the ball for once) and draw/fade are now 100% accurate and consistant.   If you slice a ball, it's actually because you swung poorly and you'll know it.

In the words of George Costanza, it is "Frolf Jerry! Golf with a frisbee". Sadly for him, he finishes the episode in the hospital after a 2nd mishap with invitations...

OT: This is definietly the 1st Tiger game I am getting. 3rd itiration (i think) on the Wii means they probably got the HW down, WM+ (enough to make me get this) and now frolf!! Come on, this is all good!!

I was thinking of just using some duct tape to attach my remote to my golf clubs. :P

Gamerace, there's no way in hell the ball reacts 100% accurately and consistently to the way you hit it. People spend thousands of dollars and take hundreds of lessons to get good at golf, and most still don't end up very good. This game would be no fun if it really was that accurate, because you'd have to be really good in order to actually be decent at this game. Also, playing on professionally used courses? Rofl, even some of us good golfers would be crying while playing this game.

he's right, if u ever played real golf u know that it's unbelievable hard for the first weeks or even months, u need a loooooot of practise to get at least decent.

when this can be done 1:1 in a video game, i'll be also able to say : 'beam me up, scottie' to land on a real golf court immeadatly
