Forums - Gaming - Do You Sometimes Always Or Never Use Walkthroughs

I have gotten the strategy guides for RE4 and RE5 and use them if a boss is pissing me off and to learn the location of items. I try not to use it for everything though since I want to be surprised by the enemies and events. Now that I've beaten the game, I'm using it a lot to know about the weapons and various other aspects of the game.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

Only if Im really stuck in a game or the game bores me so much that I dotn want to put any energy in figuring out what to do next :| I probably used Walktroughs in ~ 20% of all the games that I had completed in my life :|

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Only if the alternative is a boring or frustrating walk around trying to work out where I should be going. I never use a walkthrough for a whole game, only for individual parts that I don't know what to do

I had to use a wt for viking battle of asgard to find the red skulls, my god they were nasty achievements, especially how i play all my games on the hardest setting the first time.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

^^ With you on that one scottie. That is me, sometimes, when I am just not in to endlessly walking around trying to find some secret item or some obscure switch to get me moving to the next part of the game.

i like secret hunting , its part of the fun i get from games, so i rarely use them

I used one for Resident Evil (not sure why but I just started the game using it)

I also have been dipping in and out of one for some of the tougher bits of Majora's Mask which I am playing for the first time.

Otherwise very very rarely... I have checked a couple of item locations for GTA but that's about it.

I had to for metroid prime 2. Damn, that game was hard, especially those last 9 keys!

Dang, Samus! And here I was looking up to you and thinking you were a big shot Bounty Hunter and all this time you've been cheating, just like me.

I use them sometimes- but most definitely on MP2.

Only for Item locations. "intel"

Same think.

Recently I bough a guide for Halo Wars & MGS 4.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

I use them occasionally. I don't really have time or want to be stuck at a level for a long time. It just becomes boring and if i'm bored i put the game down and never play it again...

There are some games that require a walkthrough becasue they are just so hard or random.
