And it won't be ported either.

Yeah, surely it won't be eclipsed, since Wii and PS3 have similar capacities.

And I was talking about DQX being released 2011. DQIX was announced end of 2006 and will be released two years and a half later. DQX was announced end of 2008. I was just following the trends.

And why SE should not port it? Tell me, which third party Wii game have been sucessful on Japan?

how in the hell did you get to that conclusion?       Lets say the Wii sells 0 consoles from this day forth, at only 20k a week for the PS3 it would still take 5 years to catch the Wii.  There is a 5 million difference you know.  So more like 2014

 

hahaha i just threw a random year hahaha nothing really mathematical. I wasn't trying to be all nerdy about it, i just wanted to show that it's really hard for the ps3 to catch the wii this way... although you just showed how difficcult really is

On the flipside - it is concievable PS3 could continue to compete well against Wii with week by week sales leadership flipping back and forth but for PS3 to ever overtake the Wii's lead completely the Wii would have to completely die out.

Not exactly a lot when you mention 3 titles and the one that is truly big won't even release in 2010.

PS3 has ToV, FFXIII plus a bunch of smaller jrpg titles incoming in 2009 alone.

Wii and ps3 will probably  be trading wins each week till the end of year but once dust settles it's ps3 that will sell more in 2009.

I wouldn't be so sure. Remember... Wii hasn't had any bundles, price cuts, colors...... if nintendo decides to do it, the wii would leave the ps3 behind this year. They just need to cut the price in japan, announced new colors, with some bundles... and voula(?) wii in the lead again

@ haxxiy: You're being way too optimistic about the PS3's performance based on a couple months results.

@ everyone else: Just bookmark this thread and bump it at the end of the year to show haxxiy how wrong he's been.

You know... only if the Wii manages to sell 0 consoles from this day forth. There could be negative sales...

agreed!. at the end of the year we shld just put up something like "wall of shame".
@jaos i believe theres something called magnitude.

do you know those whiners who whine about lack of wii games, about lack of "core" games are actually PS360 fanboys in disguise?

with those numbers maybe in 20 years......all consoles are in trouble in Japan, not only the wii
