I would love to join in on the fun, but since you said you actually wanted a serious answer, I'll take one for the team and give you one.

It's a combination of work on the site, having squeaky clean behavior as a mod, participating in staff issues (discussing bans, news articles, etc.), keeping in close contact with the admins. Generally being involved with the rest of the staff.

That's it?

How boring. So they're just promoted mods?

...No? That's not what I said at all.

You said they were mods who were well behaved, took part in discussions, kept in close contact with the admins with the glowing yellow eyes from MENSA who killed a lion with a spoon and chopsticks and can kill with a single glance (no seriously, how were the original admins chosen? Keeping in contact with then-ioi?)

So yes, they're just promoted mods.

Well, what did you think they were? I just listed a couple of qualifications. TheSource is an administrator, but he doesn't do heavy moderating work. Instead, he's an important part of the site and contributes a lot towards the news section. I don't know exactly what it takes to be an administrator (since I never became one), and since I never became one, I don't know what they're capable of.

The admins make up the main "site staff" - people who represent vgchartz and work hard to keep this site running.

We have an internal structure which lists who answers to who etc and a new staff page on the way with some major changes.

Keith (DKII), Pat (TalonMan), Jacob (TheSource), Nick (Naz), Benjamin (Benga) and the soon to be "promoted" Seth (Nordlead) basically have responsibility over the different areas of VGChartz, have teams of volunteers who work for them to help this site run smoothly, and answer to me.

In terms of how they were chosen - all personally by me and because of hard work and dedication to the site, along with demonstration of leadership skills and sharing my vision for what I want VGC to become. VGChartz wouldn't be what it is without them, and the main reason I want the site to continue to grow and improve is so they can get more reward for the hard work they put in, along with the 40-50 moderators, game database admins and contributors who also give up their time to help run this site.

You revealed their secret names!

@bolded: Wow. You just promoted him once, and now again? Can't say anybody deserves it more, though.

Have you met any of them in real life, after they became admins?

EDIT: You mentioned areas. I know you do the tracking, TheSource does prediction editorials, Naz is in charge of reviews and mods, and Talon does the programming, what about DKII and Benga?

Every 2 years 32 members are chosen for Tekken tournament... 4 of these contestants are admins that have underperformed during the past 2 years. [For the first tournament the 4 special contestants were just mods]. Losers were stripped bear naked, tied to trees and used for target practice of Dragonouv Rifles. The last 4 remaining contestants become admin [or retain their admin status].

When an Admin retires and a new admin is needed, 50 site members are gathered up and thrown into an empty olympic swimming pool. The pool is sheltered by safety glass with 30 air holes only 2 inches in diameter. There are 3 daggers at the center of the pool. THere's is also a timer set to 8 minutes for the pool to begin to refill itself. Last man standing is extracted b4 drowning. If all drown or are lost in some other way, the contest is re-held in 3 days.

 EPIC POST!!!!

I think he has met the source due to E3 and the fact that the source did a semester in london. But unless he comes to the northeast of the united states he'll probably never meet talonman and myself. I know there is a good chunk of staff going to E3 this year.

As for revealing secret names, they were already on the staff page, and my name has been leaked multiple times even though I typically never tell anyone.

You're not on the staff page! Only the admins, ssj12, loadedstatement and Louie are!
