I dont like that prejudice. It sounds so elitistic, as if your Mirros Edges, Okamis, ICOs and Prince of Persias were so high cultural and sophisticated.
And I like epic games with cinematics myself. And I love brutal games.
And I think it's an overused generalisation, because the opposite types of games, just look at Nintendo games, are just as popular as shooters and epic games.
