GT5 and release date, that's all they need to waste the comp at E3.

But its always the worst with Sony. Everyone expects them to have the best show the worlds seen, and when the real thing comes people are gutted even though Sony still put on a decent show

Sony normally steals the show out of the big three... how is it a decent show if Sony shows off more content and stuff than the others? Sony's press conferences are always awesomely setup.

Hum... this was not the case last year...

As for Sony, well, let's talk about Sony.

There is nothing I hate more than a foregone conclusion. Beneath every vicious (that is to say, factual) statement I have ever made regarding the company, there has existed the indubitable truth of their ultimate victory. This certainty extends, yea, deep inside the company itself, which is why they have done so little to earn your love. The rumble-free controller with built-in batteries, the one that turns off while you're updating your console every other week, that one that inexplicably loses signal from time to time but everyone is too chivalrous to discuss it, the one that is now obsolete because two years ago they tried to save money on something they knew they would have to pay anyway - this "six axis" is the icon of a system coasting on global brand inertia. Announcing features that your competitors have had for coming up on two years does not a riveting presentation make. Exclusive PSN content (like a movie length Ratchet and Clank game, or thatgamecompany's Flower) is still the company's most compelling asset."

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

I am really looking forward for this one. We need more breaking news or twists.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

I think the only way MS could win this year is if Metal gear or/and Final Fantasy Versus XIII or VII Remake go to Xbox 360!Nintendo dont need to win bcoz either wii is still going to win in sales!

Being a cricket fan is much simpler and more fun

yup!!

am i the only one that actually caught what the article was trying to say? hes not saying this will be the hugest E3 in terms of surprises or new IPs or anything. hes saying that for years its been believed that the ps3/psp doesnt have any games. however, if one were to watch their E3 conference, they couldnt possibly state that any more. its not about soft/hard/firmware, its about how the average gamer views a ps3.

i dont know if that will ever change, but this E3 could prove to be pretty important in terms of changing perception.

Well the last 2 E3s where pretty damn solid in my eyes when it comes to Sony presentations, and Im expecting this one to be by far the biggest from the last 3 ;) Im not hyping myself to much at the moment because I dont care all that much TBH :P God of war 3 is comming and thats more then enough for me ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

As long as people don't expect a certain game to get pushed out at E3 (like people did last year with Nintendo's E3: "Oh it must be time for a new Zelda game right! or KID ICARUS!!!!!!!!") then they won't be disappointed.

well to be honest.. all the regular franchises have been milked - MGS, GT5,FF,GOW.. unless they have an new awesome IP in the offing.. its gonna be newer versions of older titles.. not necessarily bad.. infact awesome even.. but nothing unexpected

That's why they have started new franchises like MotorStorm, Resistance and Uncharted, though they don't quite have the selling potential of those titles listed. Oh, and how the hell has God of War been milked, 3 games! and the story is clearly needing a conclusion

I do think Sony's E3 is going to be great, and I am sure there will be 1 or 2 surprises (common SE!!!) a couple of new announcements like Starhawk or Syphon Filter.

The reason that Sony's E3 can be guessed to a greater extent than M$, is because we know these games are going to be coming from their first party studios, so we can look at who has made what, and so what to expect from them. So we should expect something from Sony Bend, Sony Liverpool/Evolution, Team ICO, Eat Sleep Play, whatever the Incognito people just formed and quite possibly something from Sony London, oh and Media Molecule will have something big. Of course we know all the games like Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank and God of War will been shown off. I prefer Sony letting me know what I am going to be buying in November before E3, it is much better to spread out the announcements.

LMFAO, Sony won last year easy. FFXIII's announcement for the 360 really wasnt even that massive of an announcement that fanboys made it out to be. Sony showed off and announced a ton of great games for this and upcoming years. So far most of them have been damn good and really creative, like Flower.
