Are you playing dumb by purpose? The 2 millions figure was worldwide, Japan is a minor player in that number (all numbers you quoted are Japan only)... TheSource have made an analysis about the situation of the title and you ignored it... Whatever...

Somewhat of an overreaction but people are looking at this too lightly. If Nintendo crashes, the gaming market in general crashes. Especially in Japan where Sony and MS have both proven they don't have what it takes this generation to take over what they have built. In America and Europe it could equal something quite similar. This is not something people should wish for.

Luckily there isn't much to even speculate about such a large even based off Deca Sports 2 being a commercial failure in Japan.

thats not true, if you are telling us both ps3 and 360 can't sell third party.which is what moves the market.

if nintendo were to disappear their third party support get some where else.

all this talk is hardcore gamers thinking they have a chance of sqeezing themselves in and saying "i told you so" even though they know down deep that they have been left behind.

i'm just sain that everyone can find a crappy title with bad sales for every console and say that since it sold bad then ps3/360/ds/psp/wii in japan/us/eu/worldwide is DOOMEDz

Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter G both debuted to ~120k on PS2. This version includes a Monster Hunter 3 demo...the preorders are over 70,000 now using our most conservative extrapolator (i.e. the store has a relatively large share of the number of games sold compared to usual) and using the extrapolator for the other big Capcom game on Wii in Japan (RE: UC in Nov 2007) the preorders are already over 100,000.

So going by the preliminary data we get and I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in well over 100,000 week one, and at a bare minimum it is going to come in over 70,000/75,000
