I was just wondering y a third party would make a game for the wii that isnt casual. (like madworld) I know that the wii doesn't have many so some devs. think it's their opertunity but we've now been shown that the hardcore market on the wii is a rediculiously low amount compared to casual.

In japan it could make sense 
wii - 7.99 million

ps360- 4.11 million

America

wii - 22.71 million

ps360 - 25.51 million

Others

wii - 18.17 million

ps360 - 21.79

overall

ps360 - 51.40

japan is suffereing massivly so the wii being largest there does not mean much. Americans are still buying games at an amazing rate and same for europe. so i really dont get it... \

wow guys this wasnt an attack on the wii it was a question. picture madworld for the ps3 or 360, it would be huge. just like there are games for the 360 and ps3 that would have been bigger on the wii (banjo kazooie and littlebigplanet)

Why do you hate the wii?

The Wii is a global cultural phenomenon. Making games for it is good. Making games for it is also cheap, which makes it extra good. It also has new controls that can't be used anywhere else, giving developers more options, which makes it super doublegood.

why not?

Because 85 percent of games made will not be "blockbusters". Would you rather risk that with a lower development cost system, or one that could bankrupt you?

because every game should be on every console.

why not make all games on DS?

Cause the wii is dirt cheap to develop on, whilst developing on the 360 and the PS3 costs loads more money, and would not necessarily sell more...
