Yes Americans have learned how to make good RPG's but if you dont like The japanese take on the genre then you dont like Final Fantasy Tactics which is the best thing ever....And yes FFVII had a great storyline... So did FFX...

So did FFIV...  so did FFV... so did FFVI....

I have no problem with his opinion, which is him thinking JRPG's are better; however, his remarks are slanderous. That....is the joke.

 If you saw my OP you can rest assured that I have no problem with JRPG's. I like balance between my JRPGs and WRPG's. It always gives me options. I was just saying that based on the poll i'm glad to see that WRPG's value is growing in the west. GI is a western publication that is sold virtually everywhere you see a Gamestop (Which is around the world). In the past JRPG's were favored in the west, but this poll showed something interestingly different, hence the title "Land of the Setting Sun" on the story.

You're right that American devs are getting the picture as far as developing is concerned. Miyamoto, himself, has been praising American devs as some of the most creative.

i agree they are too general, but they are the bitter feeling wrpg have leave me, the joke it's WRPG. i find it as a insult to the RPG gender in my opinion

But have you actually played any classic WRPG games? Or are you basing your assumption on just a few titles from this generation, which you have played wit this attitude. It just seems ignorant, some could argue that JRPG's have nothing in common with role playing since they are linear, but that would also be ignorant.

And i assure you WRPG's are full of Sephinrots, Clouds (even thou i think he is a bit of a douche with ridicilous big sword) and moments like Aeris death you just gotta give some games a try with different attitude accepting that JRPG's are different from WRPG's.

 If you want to take part in an orgy that is your decision. The devs who create these games leave the choices strictly to you, for it is your story, but within another characters shoes. You don't have to take part in it. You are acknowledging its existence, but you are acting like it's a linear game much like JRPG's where you don't have too much control anyway as far as the outcome is concerned. If JRPG's included sex, there is no way they could escape the shame....because you see...there is lack of choice.

Mass Effect 2 will carry on your own unique saves from the original Mass Effect, so everything you've achieved in the galaxy will still be valid in the next chapter of the game. This is why so many who played the original are frothing at the mouth for the next game.

WRPG is by far the best gaming genre of them all. JRPGs on the other hand belongs to one of the worst.

but RPG are story driven games, how character interact with other, their reactions and they emotions they feel, thats where those games get their cult following.

having orgies as archivement, empty endings, lack of emotion in characters kills that completely. there is nothing to remenber, no memories to hold off.

lack of choice depending of what choice, they are different kinds of choice, you are generally given choice to adapt your characters in gameplay

the sword was a family treasure very valuble to angelus one of the shinra top soldiers, but his family didn't have money to they worked hard to use it, that why he never try to use it in battle unless it's something important since it require alot of work to get it, angelus when he died gave it to zack, and zack gave it to cloud when he died, thats why it's so important!

Stop putting a genre that actually has decent games in the lowest level on par with games like Dynasty Warriors.  Now that is what I call a bad genre.
