Zucas said: Oh wow. People from the West said they prefer western RPG's to the Japanese ones. I never would have thought. That it's so close though is the real statement. |
Um..dude...it's not as obvious as one would think. America has on average been right behind Japanese in JRPG purchases. JRPG's were also favored more in the past. Of course WOW would sell great on the PC, because PC gamers get games which are in all persons, but make it more personable. JRPG's are not games that are personable people today are finding that Americans love customization and open world.

What were those big RPGs that America fell behind?
Final Fantasy? We haven't had one of those.
Kingdom Hearts? We haven't had one of those either.
The Tales series has never sold well in America.

Those American purhcases that were right behind Japan, I was speaking about were last gen. Sorry if I didn't add that earlier. This gen JRPG's are selling horrible period on consoles.

Yes Americans have learned how to make good RPG's but if you dont like The japanese take on the genre then you dont like Final Fantasy Tactics which is the best thing ever....And yes FFVII had a great storyline... So did FFX...
So did FFIV... so did FFV... so did FFVI....
Suikoden.....I mean Common....108 playable characters....That's got to mean something...
Sakura Taisen
Dragon Force
Shining the Holy Ark
