The Ghost of RubangB said: Oh, he started shifting his argument while I typed that up. He went from "comedy doesn't age well, whether it's standup or film" to "I get to decide which 1980s Bill Murray comedies aged well and which didn't."

I did not shift anything in my argument. However, I can see by your posts that you are just uneducated and are not worthy of my time. I don't need to justify anything I said to you or anyone else. I really don't give a damn that you like a crappy movie that was made for kids. The movies I picked as the ones I liked were made for adults and are infinitely better than Ghostbusters. I said it once and I will say it again, people are morons.

You shifted your argument.
You said comedy doesn't age well, to support your argument that Ghostbusters didn't age well.
Then you listed comedies you like, that aged well, but came out before Ghostbusters, supporting MY argument that old comedies do age well.
Now you're saying the movie was made for kids? Again, for a film to have that ridiculous amount of mass appeal to become the most successful comedy of a whole decade... it has to be funny for everybody, for a whole family, not just for kids.
But go ahead, call me uneducated if it makes you feel better for disagreeing with the majority of film fans and film critics alike. It's not like I spend all week studying film history, film theory, film criticism, and film curating. It's even funnier considering your favorite films are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, which are also gigantic budget classics with mass appeal for the whole family. That's why those were some of the most successful films of all time as well.
But hey, "people are morons."
