This is true- if it goes down to $100 even I might consider it (especially if i find good collection of old Nintendo machines rpgs on online store)

 

That is the pricepoint for me, if WM+ will be included. But that is still assuming that there will be games that will peak my interest. :P

 

 

We all know Lucasarts is humping on WM+ right now XD

Was there a correction to some numbers? The wii has been selling over 50% of the consoles for many months now, and their overall market share should be increasing towards that limit (say about 50.5%)

Not sure how a tenth of a point was lost unless there was a correction in previous month's data.

Agreed. 

I think for the Wii to ever have had a chance to have 70% market share, it would've had to launch a year ahead of it's competitors like the PS2 did.  So all things aren't equal between this gen and last.

One thing regarding new Wii colors

..what will they do in regard to Wii Fit, Wii Play,Wii sports resort, Mario Kart and Links Crossbow training?

If you buy a black Wii then you're not going to want white peripherals..so will Nintendo release new Sku's for those titles with black versions of the various attachments?

How has wii "completely changed the market"? It has expanded the market to some degree but that's about it.

Wii Fit outsold the GTA IV by far, Mario Kart outsold by far Halo 3 and it won't stop, how is that not a big change!?

As far as I know, mario kart is considered a "core game" with casual appeal. Well anyway, that sounds more like expanding the market than changing it. Traditional games are still selling, you know?

You just hope it will, in reality it will most likely not. :)

 

Mario Kart is a core game!? i though it was childish for 3 year olds, that's what core gamers were saying when GTA IV and Mario Kart were launching the same week, GTA IV was the perfect game, it was expected to kill the Wii

casual games are selling more, gaming is no more just about swords, guns, blood,  monsters, aliens, because of Nintendo, Ds and Wii, and this is what the change is

Wii Sports is the most popular game ever until now, Wii Sports Resort is a true improvement, obviously it will be huge, it should not be underestimated as with Wii, Wii Fit and Mario Kart



don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I don't follow your logic.

 

 

Do the math and extrapolate it out where the Wii has more total sales than PS2 but only 50% of the market.  Compare that total market size of all the current gen consoles to the total market size of all the last gen consoles.  It's really not that hard to see.  Unless for some reason you think the Wii will never outsell the PS2?

Wii has done:

3,2m better than ps2 in america
3,1m better in eu
1,5m worse in jap

=4,8m better than last gen number 1 console overall

360 has done:

3,3m better than xbox in america
4,5m better in eu
500k better in jap

=8,3m better than last gen number 2 console overall

ps3 has done:

500k better than gc in america
6,5m better in eu
200k worse in jap

=6,8m better than last gen number 3 console overall.

Raw numbers wise second and third place consoles have done better than wii and percentage wise a lot better. :O

Did you read his post? The Wii is expanding the market the least out of the three consoles; it just so happens that the Xbox and GameCube were failures, which the PS3 and 360 are not. They will both double the sales of the Xbox, easily.
