Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Slowing Down? Or Sony Speeding Up?

I couldn't help but notice that Sony and Microsoft sales have been getting closer and closer the past few weeks. Is it that Sony is catching up, .... or is Microsoft just slowing down a bit...Anyway's what ever it is I don't like it Microsoft should still be on top considering that the 360 launched on November 22, 2005 a few days short of a year before Sony Launched there Blue Ray nonsense . Despite the one year lead Sony began to catch up to Microsoft in week to week sales.... so obviously 360 drastically reduced the price of there console that along with amazing games like Gears of War, and Halo 3 Yeah! put us in the lead again. Despite all this It appears Sony is gaining on us again.... Microsoft had a few idea's like the price cutting - awesome- but the rest were mostly....

Purchasing Rare from Nintendo for aprox $375  http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2002/sep02/09-24ProjectRPR.mspx million dollars   FAIL!

which has produced such great games as

Banjoo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts average rating 8.1 .......0.50m Sold    FAIL!

Viva Pinata average rating average score 8.5 ........1.45m Sold     FAIL!

Viva Pinata Paradise average score 8.0 .........0.28m Sold    Fail!

and Perfect Dark Zero 8.1 ......1.29m Sold    Fail!

Sony's Gran Turismo Demo Prologue or some nonsense almost sold as much as all four of those games combined almost but not quiet

Purchasing DLC EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS to games like GTA 4 Spending aprox 50 million dollars for two Downloadable expansion packs for a game that barely sold 1.5 million more copies than its PS3 cousin which had ZERO expansions http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/10116.cfm F A I L !

Spending more money to bring over previous PS exclusives to the 360 I/e Square Enix for a game like Star Ocean FAIL!!!!!

Making a system that will still work next year http://www.gamespot.com/news/6207887.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=hot-stories&tag=hot-stories;title;2  SUPER DUPER TURNED AROUND FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN FAAAAAAAAIL!~!!!!

Despite all these failures I had an idea today that will put Microsoft back on top its obvious another PRICE CUT baby!!!! We need another price cut to get Microsoft back in a massive week to week sales lead over Sony.

So lets do it right! lets all contact Microsoft and say drop the price of the 360 from $199.99 to $12.99 that way we can keep outselling Sony month to month.... Sh*t well even out sell the Nintendeo at that price 12.99 we can hit the Drug Stores, Gas Stations, Supermarkets, $12.99 360! its already the cheapest @$$ console on the market considering its average life span is what three to six months before it catches red eye.

Sony Play Stations tends to last over a decade.... this way everybody wins except Sony yeah! 12.99 per console with UPS shipping $7.00 that's $19.99! Sony can keep making consoles that last a decade or longer... Its all good because we have X box live!!!! YEAH get to stay up late talking to my boyfriends on X BOX LIVE!!! only 39.99 for a year Sony is so dumb they give there online service for free. Lets do it we can still win this write to Microsoft and tell them its time to drop that price to 12.99!

you are not being fair. sony still needs a gears or a halo.

"Sony Play Stations tends to last over a decade...."

Yea, my first generation PS1 that I bought right when it came out lasted a whole 8 months before it started overheating. Almost made that decade..

Funny, the 9 million units lead says otherwise.

Sony slowing down, MS speeding up. Just like it has been since last September.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

PS3is actually going at the same pace for the most part, slight increase with all the great news of late. 360 is slowing down in sales due to the luster of the price cut is wearing off. They now stand practically even matched for the last month or so(they have been 8.8 mill apart for some time now). If Sony goes for the price cut as everyone expects them to do by E3 or so, the tides will turn.......again, having PS3 outselling 360 on a regular basis till they decide they want to slash prices again in order to halt it.

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

The only games that kept 360 going is Halo 3 and Gears 1&2. Plus the price drop. 2 games will not keep a console going for ever. Another reason the 360 is slowing down is because of Japan. Japan like the PS3 more and it will stay that way for years. Don't forget the people that went to the PS3 when getting the red rings. I'm one of those people. When I got my 360 it got the red rings. Then I got the PS3 because it's more reliable. Also what about the XBL fees. I hated paying for XBL and I'm sure others do too. PS3 have better games coming out to me like GT5 and God of War 3. I see more people are going PS3 now for the fact that it's a future consoles. I mean look at how long PS1 and PS2 been out. PS3 will be out long too so it's the future for gaming.

Both Microsoft and Sony are doing good, Microsoft still quite the new-comer is suprising many and sony for selling this well with the current price points $400 dollars entry point and a half-a-grand for the other model.

LOL, your post is just a joke to me, and you make it clear that you are just upset with the success of the xbox.
