i see why sony is in no hurry to cut the ps3 price. they should just wait till the end of the year now and do a $100 drop then. xbox 360 is only outselling it by 25-30k per week which really is fuck all when you look at the price difference and 3 ps3 games in the top 10 also which means its showing growth.

The March revenue is down 17% compared the the same month last year! There was NO growth so far in the Q1 '09 in the US.

What job do you have at Sony? Hardware has gone cheaper since last year and fact of the matter is that huge software is coming, $100 price cut will happen this year.

Dropping the price by $100 will increase sales for Uncharted 2, GT5, Heavy Rain, MAG, Ratchet and Clank 2 etc since more people have the console.....it's a risk which has to be taken. Let;s not forget all the multi-plat games.

I really don't know what's so surprising, the fact that NPD numbers are very much different than the site or the PS3 not selling in NA?

The PS3 has never sold well in NA, the console is still at 8 million when others released months after is over 10 million.

The only thing I use to hate is the fact it never sell software, we have 3 games this months. I for one, am pretty pleased.

25-30k per week is 1.3-1.6 million per year before even accounting for the holiday boost...
