Just an idea; on top of that, if I lose I must buy Valkyria Chronicles. If you lose, you get Okami Wii. Deal?

I support this bet 100%. Two excellent titles.

Deal! If I win, you buy Valkyria Chronicles and I decide what your avatar and signature is.
If you win, I buy Okami Wii and you decide my avatar and signature for a month.

The best part about the portable iterations is, playing Ad-Hoc on the go and the joy of hunting with your friends :)
I'm not that excited about the Wii version, since it actually kills the 2 greatest aspects of the game....
Hence why i'm REALLY hoping for a PSP release of Monhan 3 :)
PS: Been to Tokyo twice, Monhan is huge there :)
Everyone playing Monhan on their PSP out in the open, in the subway, in the McDonalds. (even girls) xD
Bought the limited Edition Matte Bronze Monster Hunter PSP Slim there :D

Japanese are very craze-driven people. Just look at the sudden shift from Playstation domination, to DS, and after just two games and a new refined model PSP, and finally the sudden resurge in PS3 from a tide of quality big name titles.
The Monster Hunter franchise is at its top right now, Japanese will just flock to whatever related they can get their hands on, even dolls and food! I think MH3 will break sales records, reach 3m at least and make Capcom very happy. Knowing Japanese people, after 2 years Capcom could release MH4 also on the Wii and kinda flop.
My themeforest portfolio:
The thing is, why is portability so important in a MH game? You can make any game portable by downscaling features.
MH, is a hack and slash IIRC, and won't be significantly enhanced by being portable, other than the fact that "you can play it on the train with your friends". In fact, those advantages apply to ANY handheld game with multiplayer. Multiplayer can be handled locally as well if you invite your friend to your house.
The only valid reason I can see is that the Japanese like portables, but it won't necessarily imply that a portable release of a game sells way better than a console release, since it's mainly the brand that make it sell.
