No doubt the sales for the content were lackluster and Pacher's guestimate is generous. 1 million sold MAYBE. What really happened is: 1. The content came out too late, GTA4 was the event of 2008, not 2009. 2. A few episodes were not enough to convince games to drop the 20 bones. Now you look at this and the trash Fallout 3 DLC and realise that it takes a lot of time and money to make a quality game and 50 million dollars would have been better spent on new IP's. This DLC cost more then Gears of War and Uncharted combined. And I think it's the main reason that 360's first party lineup is weak as hell this year. |
Actually, they have never released exact numbers on any Live content sales. Not to my knowledge at least. You could prove me wrong though.
