Forums - Nintendo - Reggie promises a better E3 from Nintendo this year ... again

Fresh off the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks at GDC 2009, Nintendo of America head honcho Reggie Fils-Aime had some interesting things to say about Nintendo's plans for this year's E3. "From Nintendo's perspective, we always go into E3 with a very high bar wanting to satisfy not only the core fans but also ourselves," he told GameTrailers TV, teasing the reveal of a release date for the upcoming Zelda. "We haven't announced a launch date -- maybe we'll do that at E3."

So, conclusive evidence of a brand new Kid Icarus game? Not quite. Though Keighley hammered "the Regginator" for details on what exactly Nintendo would be bringing to the "glamour and sizzle" fest of this year's E3, the exec kept mum, saying, "Everyone wants to know what we're going to announce at E3 and my answer is, come to E3 and you'll see." Guess we're waiting 'til June 2 like everyone else.

Reggie isn't the regginator anymore. I disregard everything this man says. The only people worth listening to from Nintendo are Iwata/Miyamoto and anyone else from the headquarters/R&D in japan. At least when they talk they actually have something to say. Nintendo of Europe/America are useless. If Iwata had said this then it would be worth getting excited about. I reckon it would be better for Nintendo if they banned anyone in the company outside of japan from speaking. At all.

Wow you really have a problem with them, don't you? Maybe you chose the wrong screenname. :P

I can't wait for E3! I can officially start hyping myself up for it now. ^_^

And no, I don't care if they don't reveal something amazing, I'm setting my hype level too high to be reached anyways! It's just fun being hyped imo. :P

A little harsh don't you think?

Pixel Art can be fun.

Haha I like wfz's strategy. I mean, when it comes down to it, it's kinda ridiculous to be upset with a company to refuse to announce the games you decided they had to announce. Just see what they do, and deal with it then.

Promises dont mean shit.......prove it Reggie, that is all the gamers ask for.

Besides, after last years E3 crapfest Nin can only go up (we hope).

No, I love Nintendo and when Iwata or someone from the Japanese branch (which I regard as the actual company) speaks I listen and believe. However I disregard Nintendo of America/Europe. They're just there for marketing and as such talk bull most of the time. TBH I wish nintendo would just shut the american/european branches out completley and not let them have any influence, say or voice at all.

I'm not really interested in what Reggie has to say right now.So many questioned he has been asked have ended in either no recollection of the questions' subject, or just straight disapproval.

I'll just wait until E3. He won't be the only Nintendo rep there.

Yeah, he did say better, and it probably will be better than last year

Last year's E3 for Nintendo was pretty abysmal so I can't see them screwing up any worse this year. Then again I may be wrong
