The marketing alone on Halo 3 was the same cost as making 2 Uncharted's. Gamers don't play sales, or hype so the only thing you're showing off here is how superior PS3's linup is.

For 360 2009 ain't looking so good:

Is Halo Wars outselling Killzone 2? NOPE

Did Street figher 4 sell better on 360? NOPE

Did Resident Evil 5 sell better on 360? NOPE

I don't think mjc realized that he just supported the argument that the PS3 offers a nice list of quality and quantity of titles for the gamers. Even Folklore was a very nice title that wasn't intended to appeal to the masses.

Considering the fact that I can not play with sales i'll just take this thread as a sign that Sony is giving me what I can in fact play with and enjoy.

Killzone 2 will be outsold many times over by ODST.

SF4, RE5 and even DMC4 are some of few that sold better and have a Japanese following. They also only have a lead of maybe 200K? Call of Duty games and GTA4 on the other hand have a lead by millions. That's more impressive.

Guitar Hero Metellica out sold the PS3 version.

Other less known games have sold better on the 360 such as Wheelman, Wanted, MLB2K9, Skate 2, Legends of Wrestlemania, H.A.W.X, Genesis Collection, Fear 2, Afro Samurai, etc.

The 360 has plenty of variety and huge hits. Sony has variety... they sell okay... but the sequels sell even worse.

Like someone else similar comment that the mjc refuses to use the same standard for 360 vs. Wii. Go figure. I do believe that the phrase "strength in numbers" hold true for a lot of situatons. Too bad mjc perverted that perception in this thread. As I implied, I'm a platformer and survival/horror fan. Are the sales of games such as Ratchet & Clank Future: TOD, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Siren, and Little Big Planet are going to deter me from enjoying those games? Why should it if I'm a gamer? So like several have pointed out that as a gamer, we play games, not sales. So having the variety and quality I seek is a correct use of "strength in numbers."
