Still, we've heard this story so many times now. But to me though I believe that most people who say stuff like this don't know much of the line up. What do you think about this?

http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=34940&page=1

That's a nice list, but it's misleading. It gives a good global overview of what's coming out on the Wii, but region to region the games Wii owners will actually get to play from that list will vary.

ditto! why the f*** didn'tninty make it region free like SONY made the PS3

I'm sick of waiting for months n months for a carbon copy of the NA version I mean in the end the UK version is just like the NA version delay it for mainland EU not for us!

But my main complaign is it not being region free &/or localisation times something which ONLY MS has toned down....but SONY is fine there as Ps3 is region free.

Nintendo may have casuals this gen but the fact remains & will always remain this gen is the only one where the leading console doesn't have the best games for te core gaming group....not me every major gaming site says this

Well, I'm not happy about region locks either, but are Sony really the best example? They made their hardware region free and then shut down one of the biggest import sites as a warning that they shouldn't ship their games overseas, and have since forbid anyone to ship their japanese releases outside of Asia etc.

Its the market the wii has been targeting.

If mad world had a 360/ps3 release it would probably have sold 200k+ by now..

The wii audience is very casual on the whole, the games they play, the amount of usage. Most of my friends who own wii just play a lot of mario party and wii sports.

Hell if 3rd party companies see profit in casual games/party games and lesser ones on racers/shooters/"hard core" genres.. guess where all the money is going to go for game development.

The nintendo wii isnt being taken seriously by a lot of companies coz nintendo havent taken it too seriously themselves: the motion sensors are getting an upgrade, there is no HD support, there is no DVD playback or the horrible friend list system/crappy laggy online system.

Its kinda sad coz I own the wii and I see potential but I dont think nintendo even cares to fix whats broken just because it sells.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

Ok then... Bye.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

I stopped being a fan with the release of the Wii, so I feel you man. They need to focus on new ips targeted at hardcore gamers.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

This thread further perpetuates the death of third party support on the Wii. Thanks for that. If you don't buy the games they won't make any games. Its pretty simple really.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Lol, doing the exact opposite is what is makes the Wii so successful. Again, even more respect to Nintendo for their strategic choices, it take real guts to hear what everyone is saying, and then do the exact opposite. I wonder if Nintendo was wrong and if they should have listened to the advice above?

And honestly, a real hardcore gamer cannot avoid Nintendo, because just about any publisher on Earth will agree, Nintendo makes the best games in the industry, under any metric imaginable.

Question to the OP, how did you stay a Nintendo Fanboy during the GC days? As far as i can tell, the Wii has an improved remake of just about every good GC game. If the DS and the Wii are making you go against Nintendo, I don't understand how you ever could have been a fan of Nintendo to start with. As far as i can tell, all Nintendo is doing is reenforcing the basic principles that made them a huge player in the gaming industry to start with.

This is the most vital bit of the counterargument. If you have supported Nintendo during the worst days, you should be the first to dance in the streets when it wins again. Not doing so would be like being an Arsenal fan and whining to no end when they (eventually) win the premier league because "only one English player is in the regular starting lineup"!

If you really are a Nintendo fanboy, you should like the company for what it is, rather than focus on the games they make!

^I am focusing on the final paragraph here. My argument is that people who support a company during its "weakest" days should be the first to jump in joy when it leads the market again.

Otherwise it's like "being an Arsenal fan and whining to no end when they (eventually) win the premier league because "only one English player is in the regular starting lineup".

Either that or most of those self defined Nintendo fanboys are plastic fans or worse.

So you're whining about Nintendo even though they don't do anything wrong? They're releasing excitebots and punch out!! this year. That's not a party game or anything like it... Pikmin3 and a new zelda is in the make, but you still complain that there is no good Nintendo game?

You make a good point with the 3rd party support, but that's not really the fault of Nintendo.

once again a another person saying there not a nintendo fan .funny part about is that he going to keep say just becuase what happening with nintendo right now , but as that right for him to be that way , no it not . he going to feel wrong about it ,but don't come on here and say your no nintendo fan anymore, becuase no one cares.
