I have no clue... I expect to see a some decent Hardware numbers in it's US launch week but nothing amazing.

I think the EU/Others sales for the GOW PS2 games (and many other games for that matter) are missing I can defiantly see the first 2 hitting 1 mil in others by now

that being said I don't think that GOW III is a system seller like HALO - GTA or FFXIII but I'll tell you this I only bought the PS3 mainly for this game I just love this series so much and wouldn't want to miss the Ending of the Epic story, but of course that's just me

Uncharted owns the Tomb Raider genre now.  Exactly how many systems have been sold as a result of Uncharted?

Well, it does have a fanbase. Not a large fanbase, a sort of MGS-size one, perhaps a little smaller.

However, I think most people who want this game would already have bought a PS3 for it, and for all the other games on the system. GoW3 was the main reason that I bought my PS3 (along with Trico and R&C).

It's not going to be a huge system seller, but it adds to critical mass. The thing about GoW is that both games sold a very large portion of its units at reduced price. What that means is that the boost in hardware won't be very large at launch, but it'll convince more of the people on the fence over time. Frankly, I don't see GoW being as big for hardware as even KZ2, but that doesn't mean it doesn't contribute.

It'll be somewhat like Yakuza in Japan, but with a much smaller percent increase in weekly sales.

I never thought GOW3 to be a system seller but I will buy it anyway, and just so you know if I didn't have a PS3 this is the only game that will make me buy it, cause I can never get it on PC, nor is it fun on any other system (I am used to the PS controller).
