Forums - Sales - Another trip to best buy

To my favorite video game store, yes I went to best buy yet again, and yes I played the wii yet again.

Stock:

Since everyone is going on about a new XBOX 360 or "there is no 360 in stock thats why sales are declining" I can confirm there are plenty of 360, both the 360 elite, and 360 arcade were in stock, as well as the 360 pro. People were marching themselves towards the XBOX 360's it was a mountain of them in the middle of the store, and at the time I was there, it was also easily the best selling video game system in the store.

For the wii, there were tons of wii's, about half as much as the 360's, but still enough to form a mountain like shape, not too thin either. Wii fit was also in stock, and best buy apperently was giving wii play free with the purchase of any wii.. there were people buying the wii ofcourse.

The ps3, almost as many ps3's as there were 360's, nobody not one person looked at a ps3, or even passed by them. Whats even more suprising is that everybody was getting either an arcade or a 360 elite..  so I thougth why get an elite, when the ps3 is the same price.. most of the people buying were teens/kids so, very unhealthy ps3 sales (and online retail the ps3 is the worse selling console as well in best buy).

PSP, plenty of stock, one guy bought one, and I went to gamestop afterwards and bought a brand new psp 3000, much better than the slim imo, and you can play games in component now!

DS/DSi, I didnt see any ds lite, I did see tons of dsi's, and it was selling ok, not as much as the 360 or wii though.

PS2 very little stock left, nobody looked at it

Wii experience:

Well I went to see what game they had for the wii again, and to my surpise it was mario tennis, or the wii make of it. That game is pure fun, I actually sweated a bit while playing it.. it was the best wii game I had played yet(yea shocking), much better than my playthrough with mario galaxy, it was very fun, and the tennis controls were pricise.. I loved it, and played alot (the 360 kids were laughing at the fact I was playing a wii ), so I can say that I had a very fun/good experience with the wii, the graphics though were not good.. it was on a 50 inch HD TV, and I doubt it was running at 480p, I didnt care though, it was the gameplay that mattered not graphics.

New PSP:

I bought a psp in gamestop, as stated above, black 3000, much better looking than the slim (there is a difference), not a SIGNIFICANT difference in picture quality, but there is a difference, I like the fact you can play on the tv with any game using the component av cables, and I bought god of war, so far im bored as hell with god of war, but thats because I played it on the tv for 4 mins. Reason I bought another psp, was so get back into handheld gaming, and because gamestop had 0 dsi's.

So there you have it

In Toronto, pretty much the same, but DS supply varies from day to day.

PS3 is a very ignored section of the Bestbuy. Maybe Ps3 owners shop at gamestop/ebgames..

you should of waited to get a PSP...at least intill the PSP2/4000 are confirmed true or false

You can play PSP games on the TV?! Which models of PSP?

The 3000 you can connect your psp to the tv, and do anything you would do on the PSP just on the tv.

The 2000 you CANNOT play the games, but you can do everything else.
