Forums - Nintendo - The Conduit preview: Technically marvellous but it's not really much fun

It has a rechargable health bar... Look at game vids with the green health bar. It recharges if he doesn't get hit. They changed the system a long time ago. You're behind...

Half the complaints shadow my fears about this game, but he doesn't really go into enough details to see if the complaints are actually valid. The other half sound like whining for the sake of whining (enemies drop health is worse than recovering all your health by standing still for two seconds...how?).

I'm willing to dismiss this preview outright. Hopefully the rest give us more substance.

Are we sure we're all talking about the same game here?

No All Seeing Eye mechanics? No puzzles with that device?

this guy has not played the game.

Because everyone MUST like the Conduit!

Is there any chances that his guy has played so many shooters on PS360/PC that even though The Conduit will be the cream of the crop on the Wii, it will mediocre when compared to the offerings of the other platforms? I think that's entirely possible.

LIfe Bars >>>>>>>>>>>> Regenerating shields

A combination of both is my favorite, like in Halo 1/Ce, but simply Shield regeneration is boring. You can sit out there all day in multiplayer, and no-one will die. Bang! Regenerate. My turn: Bang! Regenerate. Your turn: Bang! Regenerate. My turn: Bang! Regenerate. Your turn: Bang! Regenerate.

So ORBS >>> Regeneration.

How realistic is life regeneration, anyways?

Totally, I mean how realistic are aliens and a magical eye that tells you things?!

I'll wait till a few more opinions I think... by which I mean, I will wait until others on here have played it. I mean Super Mario Galaxy had 1 review that scored 2/5, there is always at least 1 person to hate a game.

Actually 2 or 3 people on this website have played it haven't they? and they claimed it was great (can't remember who they were, sorry)
