and what makes it so awesome or special to you?

well mine is Tales Of because i like the anime style, the story's,skits,and off course the battle system there is no better battle system than the one in the Tales serie imo you could make a game of just that battle system lol

but anyways it's just everything together that makes it so special for me i'm not a hardcore gamer and most of the games i buy are games that i only finish 1 time or not at all but Tales Of Symphonia for example i finished the game about 20 times maybe more that's seriously insane

anyways back to my question what's you're "special" game ??

Mine is:

Mass Effect

Why?
Mature game serie, deep story, moral choices, everything feels loud and big in the Mass Effect universe.
Strong racial issues, sexuality and relationships.
Politics, governements.
Deep sci-fi universe, everything is well explained in the Codex.
and...
You are Shepard.
You build him/her.

Mass Effect is an experience for adults.
Not because of blood and gore... but because of the subtility in the dialogues, the strong political and philosophical atmosphere.

Zelda:
The epicness and variety between each game. Need I say more?

Mine is "Metal Gear Solid"

Best story and voice acting i have seen in a video game

and the gameplay is the best there is...... i consider it The Best

Excellent story and voice acting/animation and v funny
Fun game play with cool guns and levels

i like your view on "Mature" games , thats what mature games are not "mindless gore and blood" to me those are "Immature"

@OP , i cant say i like alot most are japanese games for some reason with the exception of games such as  Syphon Filter , Legacy Of Kain and so on , most of are underrated or considered mediocre but i like them :]

God of War....Love the hack and slash and the brutality!!!!

My favorite is Lunar. The main 2 games just pwn too much. Gameplay, characters, story, I like it all.
Then theres Total War, really interesting and fun games.
Half Life, it hasn't disappointed me yet, along with all the mods.

Theres probabaly a couple of more I can't remember atm.
