If quality doesn't have anything to do with sales, what's the point of spending that much money on a game? I guess Kojima's giving some fanservice to his fans, and that's actually pretty awesome then.

Of course this system assumes all programmers are psychic and can predict market desires and market shifts and know exactly what will sell at all times. But only Miyamoto can do that.

 

 Its because its cool and that stuff, britney sells a lot, that doesnt mean its good.

Other thing, making it accesible for kids and old people doesnt make it good, thats like saying dog toys are great because they are accesible. I personally dont care or wouldnt like to play a bad game that my parents or little cousins would find easy, I would prefer to do other things not related to gaming. When you play games you play them for yourself, Im not gonna waste my time playing a bad game just because and old guy cant play something better.

Wii sports wont be the greatest game ever no matter how much people buy it, a lot of people having it doesnt make me respect it more, SoTC is one of the greatest games ive played and not a lot of people had it, so I dont respect much whats popular.

I go to music like for the third time, take "artists" like the Jo bros, they sell a lot and have a lot of fans who think they are great musicians, but we know the truth, they are not. Take classic music, much more complex than a lot of usic, great music, but average people think its boring.

i think wiisports will be remembered as the super mario bros of this generation 20 years from now. it'll will end up being the game that had the biggest influence on the gaming industry, and people will actually look behind on it fondly. it won't be bashed on like it is being now.

With my playtime of Wii Sports, it is far from being great. Golf and Boxing are broken, Tennis requires no swinging motion at all, and Baseball without fielding? If another game was made in that kind of state, it would be labeled 'broken'. Bowling is the only game that works like it was intended to.

1. Stellar reviews? Its like a 65 on Metacritic. Although I don't like Metacritic for judging how good a game is, 65 is terribly average.

2. Its sold the most because its bundled the most. Imagine if a game was bundled with PS1 or PS2 it would have 100 million and 140 million sales respectively.
