Good. It's ridiculous that they do that in the first place. When I buy something new, I want it to be NEW as in never opened. If I'm going to pay full price for something, I want the satisfaction of opening it for the first time and knowing that no pimply greasy kid behind the counter touched my game.

I got burned by that once I think. I bought a game for the DS that was listed as "new" but was opened. I went to play it and there was a saved score under the high scores. I thought it might have been one of those preset scores that a lot of older games used to have. Although the more I thought about it, I started to doubt it since the score wasn't a round number or something simple and the name was a little strange.

I thought about returning it but never got around to it. Either way, they lost a customer. I don't know if I've ever shopped there again or if I have, it's only been once on a clearance game.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

I rememberd i was going to buy FFX and the guy was selling a used a copy for 45 bucks (i was like the hell with that) so i bought a fresh copy for full price.

I will only buy a "new" game from Gamestop if it is still in the wrapper. All of my new games from there have always been wrapped. I don't usually buy new games from them though as I usually prefer Bestbuy mainly because of reward zone. There was one time that they tried to sell me a new copy that was out of the wrapper and I was like no I'm not paying full price for that. It was their last copy also. The only way that I was going to buy that copy was if it was sold as used. ( They didn't have any used copies of the game either. The manager was there and thankfully it was the one that I knew. He sold it to me at the used price which he said was $10 cheaper plus I got to use my edge card for 10% off. So I got out of there with a brand new game which had only came out that week for a grand total of $48 with tax.

I thought I wasn't the only one. I think I'll try amazon or something (recommendations?) now for on

Are people actually buying them ? Wow that's weird. I'd never take such opened copy from the shelf.

I usually don't mind, since I buy used as much as I buy new. But one time, I went to buy Freedom Fighters for the Gamecube, and the clerk took the game right out of the in store Gamecube, as two kids were playing it, put it into a case, and tried to sell it to me as "new". I walked out of that store.

wow, now that is a story!

I like unwraping the game myself and thats why i never buy from gamestop.

"Like you know"

Even when I worked at Shitstop I hated that so I never did it.
Except on a already used copy for red steel, first and last time I did it but never felt it was right to do it for a new game,I worked there for over a year and only stayed that long because the last half already hated the corp from how much they screwed me over but needed the job...I finally did end up quitting even if I still needing the job at the time but could not take it anymore.

I hope they get the hammer and would love nothing more than see that POS corp go down like Enron and AIG.

Oh and you people talking about a game with a wrapper..joke is still on you possibly as gamestops have plastic wrapping machines in the back room and sometimes (not too often) can wrap that sucker right back up.

I still can't, for the life of me, fathom why people use gamestop.

May as well just tattoo "sucker" on your forehead.
