Playing sealed sword is a bit masochistic.  The game really does seem to dislike the player and sometimes, it even feels like it's mocking you...

Yeah, but most of it is awesome. Like one chapter having killer weapon reinforcements when you think you have just the boss left... - Awesome.

Oh, and one thing.

In FE7, in chapter 27 (29 Hector) there's a sniper who holds a guiding ring. He's a lv 8 sniper, 8 speed. My lv 10 Matthew (Assassin, so higher level) with 25 speed tried stealing the ring, but "steal" wasn't even an option.

Any idea why?

AARGH! I'm so close to beating Radiant Dawn - I'm up to what I think is the 2nd last level, and there are these enemies that move 20 squares a turn and all have ranged attacks. And there's no possibility of choke points - it's a completely flat battleground about 15 by 15. I tried forming a wall all the way across, but they just target my weakest characters.

Maybe I should hide most my guys in a corner while Ike, Tibarn etc go out and kill things.

Anyone got any suggestions?

All this Fire Emblem talk is making me feel guilty. I haven't beaten PoR yet and I started FE7 but didn't really get anywhere yet.

Well at least I feel like playing it again now.

Ah, the electrical ones, right?  (Endgame: Chapter 4)

It is really piece of cake.

Your enemies have a mere 30 speed, so you should be able to double them all. If you can double them, they'll likely die in a single round.

So essentially: Your unit needs to be able to kill spirits in 1 round, and have a decent resistance. If they don't have this, don't bring them.

So for 1st round, just nuke the spirits - as many as you can.

2nd round, try clearing around boss, and do the same for the next round.

Boss has an AoE that hits 10 spaces around him, so if your units can't survive a spirit (if any left) and it, keep them far away.

He also has a bolting (or something) that hits a unit hard. If a unit can't survive this, don't bring it (or keep it out of range if that is possible).

It's been a while since I played it, but it shouldn't be too hard.

FIRE EMBLEM 7 SPOILERS

Just finished the FE7 endgame (on HHM). That was hard!

I lacked S ranked units, as well as lv 20 units. So I was in some major trouble. I actually had to kite a few enemies around.

Wiped 5 times before I could get to Nergal. Sent in Hector. Enemy health: 75 (I think). Hector damage: 19 (I think) - doubles. 1% crit chance.

Wham! Crits 57 dmg. Nergal misses, 19 more from Hector, and Nergal is dead.

Then, the dragon.  '

It has around 120 health I believe.

Hector runs up. 3% crit (higher for some odd reason). WHAM! crits 57, deals 19 more.

Dart and Lyn finishes off the 30-50 health it has left.

Also... The linked 2 vs 2 is pretty fun actually. I played against my friend, and it has a fair bit strategy to it.

Gonna start FE6 now (on an emulator though :(

And I had forgotten how awesome Hector, and FE7 in general, is. It's actually around 40 hours long, and that's without restarts.

Oyvoyvoyv: Assassins lose the ability to steal. That's why most people just use Jaffar, and keep either Matthew or Legault as thieves. Well, that and Jaffar generally being a better fighter.

Also, yes, Hector is pretty awesome, isn't he?

I'm goign to be focusing very hard on a party of about ten or twelve. Hopefully I will be able to max out most of my characters.

Lyn did damage to the dragon? Really?

I never really think about ranking. I don't know how you even get an S ranking.

Is that why you speak of Fire Emblem as being speed-based?
