its new to me that the game is getting so much attention in japan but maybe it really is because of the anime and the manga.... just hope it does not continue segas tradition of releasing a mouth watering game only to have its sequel to be japan only
but the thought of a ps3 only vc2 really makes it seems like the console is finally out of the post launch "wait till the good game are released so the console is finally worth it" stage it has been as far as rpgs/srpgs are concerned
as for akvod i find the way you state your opinion about a complicated matter like the world wars in a matter of fact way to be troublesome ,it sounds so much like those cretins commenting on youtube who state stuff like that, like its as certain as the sky being blue or water being wet . just try to be less apodictic ...secluded in your statement... those discussion tend turn into bickering about political systems ..nations and so forth..thats more for the off topic section of the boards.. lets keep it about the game here.. i would be very grateful for that
its a common problem, not about you in particular.. its just your post that i noticed

I don't think WWI started solely because of the assasination of Archduke. There were a shit load of other factors, many of which I don't know or studied, that caused the first Great War. I don't think the US or any country is trying to "get" oil, by means of really old imperialism and colonisation. I admit that I don't know enough about history and current events. But that's why I never said "WWI started because of the assasination" or "All wars in the middle east is over countries trying to steal oil"
But it's undeniable that the game referenced some of the things, like the war being started over a scarcity of ragnite (which strays further from WWII), the first war being written as starting (if my memory is correct) after the assasination of a Duke, the huge Federation/Imperialist coalitions/federations, how both the Imperialists (invaders) and the Federation wanted to add Gallia to their collective, and how the war ended with just a huge truce.
Don't blame me, but the game for simplifying history. However in the game's defense it doesn't really try to depict one war (WWII), but references many other conflicts. It's main goal is to make a great game, with a solid story as it's foundation, not to do a in-depth history lesson. They referenced enough things to allow us to fill in the gaps ourselves, and add to the suspense of disbelief and believe that this is a war that could happen.
