Forums - Website Topics - Dear weeaboos, wish you were here, Love Myahon@Tokyo Hilton

So I'm in the tokyo hilton servicing 250+ people a day outside disney land (not unlike Paris Hilton)

As I looka t a menu for something called "noodle thriller" and watch japanese soap operas, I can't help thinking, i wish i had someone more vrsed in anime here.

To answer your questions, yes it is awesome, their toilets are YEARS ahead of ours and the beddae(sp?) gets a good 8 feet per shot (hit the closet from the bathroom) and no I didn't see any Wiis for sale they are SOLD OUT here too. Although my room has a sega saturn, and I did see a magazine called "waggle golf" which is what the english refer to Wii sports as. Also the chicks are tent imes hotter then on TV and the intertubes.

ask me anything i'll answer next time im online, and pix when i return home, (if i so choose to return)

Absolutely anything? ^^

How much do people say 俺 as opposed to 僕? I've been trying to figure this stuff out, but my teacher is too polite to have ever used either of them, and none of the exchange students know English (let alone Finnish) well enough to explain.

Yeah i could ask a question.

Why stay in the Hilton, you would be better off in either of the Hyatts [Park being prefferable].

I've stayed in both, and the smallest of Hyatt rooms would be better than the larges of Hiltons.

Awsome dude!!!

Parokki, ore is fine to use amongst close friends. Although in my experience it really varies. I have been friends with guys for a year and they still constantly use boku, others I know for like a month and they will use ore.

Tbh if the other person is of the same age and you are friends I would just use whatever they use. If you are ever unsure what to use then just use watashi, the worst that can happen is people will think you are overly polite.

Also Japanese teachers can be quite outdated on this stuff. My teachers had told me that no girls ever use da, always at the very least they would say desu. The reality was quite different.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

I thought ore was a masculine form of "I" and boku was also masculine but less...

It least, it was kinda explained so by an anime fansub group... Kanon Remake episode 20th into the 9th minute by the joint-group SS-Eclipse.

It also said girls use "watashi" or "atashi"...

EDIT:

*jealous* too

*jealous* for the dude that has Japanese class as well

Yes girls use watashi and man have a lot of words for "I"  like 'Boku', 'Ore' (but those two doesn't really have a difference I thought) but most for the time they don't use  'I'.

Y - Koron can for sure explain more about this.

I think a lot of time they don't use pronoun at all. I had good laugh when misunderstandings occur in anime because of that.

And who's Y - Koron?
