i have only been to one. halo wars. and there were only like six other people there. it kinda sucked.

It depends on the game. I enjoyed waiting for GTA4, Halo 3 and Gears 2. RE5 midnight launch was pointless. There were no prizes, contests, nothing....

I've never been to one. I tend to wait until I have the money to buy a game. If it's a game that I really want, I'll just buy it the day it comes out, or whenever the stores around here have them in stock. I don't think that getting to play a game a few hours before everyone else is worth the lack of sleep I'd suffer from by doing that... =(
