The best course of action? Take a sledge hammer to it. Failing that, feed it to a pack of starving dogs.
It may not fix your Xbox, but you do get to kill some stray dogs... which is twice as fun.

Play beyond 12 hours! lolz!
yeap do that buy a PS3 lol... they need some support..... I4m thinking about buying a bunch of them... and send them to the red cross or something... Sony really needs some relieve here or they won't pass the decade.... that'd be sad not too have some competition anymore....
no but seriously, did you really thought your answer was smart or/and funny dude ???
if he wanted or had the money for the PS3 he probably would have done so... the poor guy got a defective product and seeks for help advice and support and you come here put your two words thinking you are the comedian of the year or smart or something....
do i come on your forum and make silly statement every time you get somehow a good game that some people apparently like with i'll admit great graphics... (not that it happens that much anyway)
"yeahhhhh !!!! my low cost BR player got finally an exclusive descent shooter, i'm extatic.... banzaiiii!!!"
if the PS3 was that attractive the number would say so.... if the game library was that great the attache rate number would say so....
now even if you'd happen to find arguments against the factuality of those numbers.... how do you feel about getting pawned by a defective hardware???? it's like being a drop out of school before the town retard.....
jesus christ this WAR starts to piss me off... it's suppose to be a competitive market.... not a contest of which fan is more retarded...
to the OP dude do what they said go to the store and exchange your unit.... that's the easiest course of action...

Did you buy a brand new X360 or second hand X360?
correct me if im wrong, but aren't component cables *strictly* video? dont you have to use the AV cables (red and white) for sound, and component for video?
So many new posters claim that system x broke on them after a few hours or system x is boring and collecting dust so they are buying system y cause it has all the best games or that they were a lifelong x fan but the graphics/waggle or whatever made them give up and switch to system y. I wish there was a way to bookmark all of these new guys that join, talk shit on a system and never go past 20 posts cause there a ton out there.
Either way if you are real and having problems with your XBOX, go back and trade it in for another. Your chance of having a dead Wii or PS3 are exactly the same.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Reported for trolling. Seriously, you really believe that comment was called for?

I've never seen HDMI or component cables without the audio part along with it. The picture takes up 3, and then there is the red and white ones along with it, totalling 5 inputs.

Ive got component cables without audio, i use it for checking video out of final cut pro. only 3 cables not too hard to find, got them at walmart one night when i needed more cables .... if only other stores were open 24/7. and i know for a fact not all hdmi supports audio, though that is more up to the implementation of the software though a few productions of early cables do not support it either
