Forums - Nintendo - What would you like to see in the next Smash Bros?

Yes yes, I know... I'm a pretty predictable guy when it comes to things like this... but anywho...

Seriously. Imagine the speed of Sonic, and then add actual K.O. potential. It's so... *sniff* beautiful.

(A more customizable online service would be nice too... leaderboards, tournaments, and the rest of the good stuff.)

What?! Knuckles isn't as fast as Sonic! You're delusional, my friend. :P

Oh fine... maybe he'd be at Captain Falcon's speed... maybe even Fox on a bad day. Still, the point remains that he'd be pretty darn fast, and still retain a bit of oomph from his signature strength.

And he could glide... awesome.

MegaMan.

Predictions.

1. Wii will never reach 50% market share.

2. Kz2 will sell 1.3 first week 3.5 LT.
Sales predictions for 09.

Wii - 69 - 72
PS3 - 32 - 34
X360 - 39 - 41

Yes, I would be him every time.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

This what im talkin bout excluding Megaman & Sonic, thats a terrible list...,im sorry

Get rid of forward + B move.
Get rid of clones.
Get rid of Snake.
Functioning online. Ability to host online games, time instead of stock is lame.
Don't add anymore non nintendo characters. Sonic can stay since SEGA is collaborating a lot w Nintendo :)

We all know that Tingle would bless the Smash series.

If it's a rehash of the same formula then I won't buy it.. So I'd like it to either change in it's overall design or add different gameplay through controls and combos or something to freshen it up..

Edit: Also put it on DS2 as a launch title :P

What I'd like to see changed/added in the game itself:

- Inclusion of global switches for variables like game speed, gravity, hit pause, hit stun, damage, knockback, shield strength etc. so competitives will stop bitching about them. Also, more match types.
- An improved level editor.
- More play testing in order to not only improve the admittedly wonky character balance, but also to eliminate (abusable) glitches, thus improving game play while removing the option to resort to cheap crap like MK's invisible cape glitch or 0-death combos.
- A further developed single-player campaign mode. SSE was at least OK, but there's always room to improve.
- Above all, the game should still remain Smash Bros. That is, a non-serious, fun, beginner-friendly fighter that doesn't sacrifice accessibility for complexity.

As far as potential new characters go:

- Mega Man / Mega Man X
- Viewtiful Joe
- Simon/Trevor/Julius Belmont or Alucard
- Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden

- Isaac (Golden Sun)
- Pico, Black Shadow or Samurai Goroh (F-Zero). Blood Falcon would just be a clone, anyway.
- A new major character from the FE series, ie. Lyn, Hector, Zelgius, even Sothe...
- Gandrayda, Dark Samus or Rundas from MP3
- Captain Rainbow
- A second Pokemon Trainer with a new team
