And yes, assuming I'm right, this is extremely foolish of Activision. It's foolish to drop the best-selling Call of Duty name anyway. |
What the...? Brand? The hell does that have to do with anything? With that logic there should never have been RE5 on PS3/X360, DQIX on DS/DQ10 on Wii and the list goes on and on.
I've heard some intersting reasons why MW2 won't be on Wii but this one ranks as likely the most inane of them all.

Actually, the guys at IW do like Nintendo. The problem is this....back when CoD:MW was in development the game engine was not yet available and they tried to push it onto an older game engine which obviously failed and some of the head guys spoke out about it. The media made it out to look like they were bashing the Wii itself but their problems were with the game engine, not Nintendo or the Wii.
The CoD:MW game engine was completed in time for CoD:WaW which we all know works quite well. It's not available to use by IW which is the engine they are using for MW2 development.

Huh, World at War Wii is running on the CoD4 engine, which is made by IW. Why isn't it available to IW for MW2?

Sorry. "Not" was supposed to be "now"
The CoD4 game engine for Wii was actually developed by Treyarch, not IW which is why I said, or meant to say, it is "now available to use by IW".
