The main "rumor" is that IW is forced by Activision to make a Wii version as well, but it could also be outsourced to Treyarch, that made the excellent WaW Wii version. |
....no

The fact that they dropped the "Call of Duty" brand basically confirms there will be no Wii version. Modern Warfare is a PS360 brand, not a Wii brand. Call of Duty is a Wii brand. Expect the next Call of Duty title to be on the Wii again.
And yes, assuming I'm right, this is extremely foolish of Activision. It's foolish to drop the best-selling Call of Duty name anyway.
@BMaker11, CoD:WaW Wii was pretty good. Sure it wasn't excellent but I had plenty of fun playing it single player and multiplayer.
I dont think they will drop the Call of Duty name. In the end I think it will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I mean it would be stupid not to call it like that.

The problem is this....back when CoD:MW was in development the game engine was not yet available and they tried to push it onto an older game engine which obviously failed and some of the head guys spoke out about it. The media made it out to look like they were bashing the Wii itself but their problems were with the game engine, not Nintendo or the Wii. |
Huh, World at War Wii is running on the CoD4 engine, which is made by IW. Why isn't it available to IW for MW2?

Considering that I've actually played the Wii version (actually it was the first version I played) and then played CoD: WaW on 360 (after playing both I pretty much ignored the game, because I didn't like it), I think I'm entitled to my opinion about a comparison between the WaW versions. So I don't know why you warned me.
And by comparison, the Wii version is not excellent....not excellent at all. Sure, it was playable, but in comparison...not excellent. Did you want me to say all that the first time? I figured a simple "no" would've sufficed. I'm thinking that had you not been a mod, I wouldn't have gotten warned.

I'll give you that one, although the point I was trying to make is that it's not a Wii brand. MW2 may still make it to the DS.

Exactly what I was thinking too. If they took a chance with Modern Warfare being on DS why not take a chance with Wii. It's pretty much a guaranted success. WaW sold respectable, and if anything MWF2 would sell even better on Wii.
