It's not bad...just overrated for no reason.

Just because it has no crappy love story or characters as the main focus doesn't mean the story sucked.  The story just focuses on something different.

 

FFXII had a story? since when? :S

The story actually started out pretty good, but once you get on the first judge airship or something like that it gets boooooring

Paper mario is the most over-rated piece of trash from last gen, it was basically paper mario 64 which was horrid to begin with IMOB.

Seriously, i think Tales of Destiny 2 (i like it, but it's not all that and a bag of chips, and i certainly wouldn't put it in Famitsu's top 100...

Story is major in a JRPG for me. XII's story is very forgettable, and I actually remember only pieces of it, while I remember X scene by scene...
