KBG why not just save those changes for the next systems then? Its way too expensive to try to change the image of your product midstream in terms of marketing, and you effectively are telling 50m people they made a mistake by buying the machines too early, at premium pricing, and without all the necessary/eventual feautres later users will get. There would be a revolt. It seems especially unlikely for the PS3 since Sony already has the Sixaxis.

Never, once ther PS3 get's a price cut the combine sales of X360/PS3 will always be much higher then the Wii numbers.

If the HD consoles don't get a price cut I'd say by Christmas.

Adding motion controll to the PS3 and 360 is not something that is going to anger consumers. It is another option, as the eyetoy was for the PS2. In this case though, I am just saying maybe Microsoft, and Sony should do what many here have been asking for, and pack this added feature in with the system. It helps give publishers the incentive to want to develope for the device, and people that want it will surly pay the $60 or so dollars for this added function.

As for 3D, that is extreamly simple. All Sony, or Microsoft have to do, is program the systems to allow it, and rlease a new firmware update. Even if it is not possible on all big games due to the power limits of PS3/360, it would be a very nice feature in PSN, and XBL titles.

Plus, I don't think any of these three companies are worried about the next gen right now. They are of course looking, and will be ready to strike if the competition moves, but I don't see them going anywhere soon. I think the 3rd parties would be in serious troble should new software arrive. Just remember, PS3, and 360 are evolving platforms.
